I am writing this to endorse Crissy, a wonderful makeup artist who I had the pleasure to be improved-by recently. I got her name from a mutual friend, and called upon her to help fix me up for an upcoming family event.
I found her to be quite sincere, friendly, and easy to talk to. She understood exactly what I was looking for, and added some suggestions for me when I told her some of my concerns (my too-high forehead, for example. My super pointy nose). I'm middle aged, I've been doing my makeup for quite a few years, but I don't know what I'm doing, it's hit or miss, truth be told. And for this event, I wasn't going to leave me in my own hands. I am SO GLAD I left the situation up to this professional.
When she was done, I looked in the mirror, and I was HAPPY with how I looked, I felt confident and happy. She was able to make my nose look un-beaky, my forehead not look like the epic globe that it is, brought out my eyes, showed me that I do in fact actually HAVE cheekbones...! I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I looked pretty. My goal was to at least hide my flaws, but she actually found and brought out the pretty that was hiding in me. I look forward to utilizing her services again. SO worth it. Thanks, Crissy! :)
I had never been very great at doing makeup so I decided to try having someone else do it for me and see how it would turn out. I reached out to Criss who I knew was a makeup enthusiast to have her make me up.
We went to a store together and she was very consultative of what shades would go well with my skin and outfits I am used to wearing. Once we picked things out, Criss very methodically applied the makeup, explaining the style she was going for, and also providing a lot of useful tips. As I consider myself a novice in the makeup department, I found this to be tremendously helpful.
As for the actual finished product, I was extremely pleased as her technique really emphasized some of my better features, and the eye shadow especially really captured my personality. I highly recommend Criss's services, and from seeing some of her more creative work, I also would recommend trying something a little out of your comfort zone.
